YOSHIO HASUNUMA - Chairman of the Board, President, and Chief Executive Officer

Yoshio Hasunuma is chairman, president and chief executive officer of Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) headquartered in Cherry Hill, N.J. Hasunuma oversees the company’s executive management team leading sales, marketing, product planning, parts and service, legal and financial activities for Subaru, its company-owned regional offices and independent distributors in the United States. He also serves as corporate vice president of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd (FHI).

Hasunuma has been employed by FHI for 34 years, and before being appointed to his new position at SOA, served as corporate senior vice president for the Subaru Global Marketing division. Prior to that role, Hasunuma served as corporate vice president for Subaru of Japan sales and marketing. In previous years, Mr. Hasunuma held various positions in marketing, sales planning and domestic sales.

Hasunuma began his career with FHI in 1975. He received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Waseda University in Japan.
 

THOMAS J. DOLL - Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer

 Thomas J. Doll is Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA), headquartered in Cherry Hill, N.J. He is responsible for overseeing operations for the entire organization.

Doll joined SOA in 1982 and from 1985-1988, he was the Manager of Treasury Operations. In 1988 he was promoted to Director of Treasury Operations and then to Director of Accounting one year later. In 1991, Doll became Vice President of Business and Strategic Planning. From there, he was promoted to CFO, responsible for business and strategic planning, budgeting, controller functions, accounting and financial reporting. In April 2009, Doll was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining SOA, he spent five years at Arthur Young and Company.

Doll received a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from Villanova University in Villanova, PA and a Master’s Degree from Drexel University. Doll is active in several financial organizations including the American Institute of CPAs.

 

TIMOTHY J. MAHONEY - Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer

Tim Mahoney is senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Subaru of America, Inc., and reports directly to Tom Doll, executive vice-president, COO and CFO. Mahoney is responsible for leading and managing the Subaru brand in the U.S. market, marketing communications, corporate communications, product management and customer relations and loyalty.  

Mahoney originally joined Subaru of America in 1984 as a marketing research analyst, and was promoted through the organization holding a variety of management roles in areas including marketing, advertising, merchandising, market research and strategy, as well as product planning. Prior to Subaru, he worked for the Sara Lee Corporation.

Before returning to SOA, Mahoney worked for Porsche Cars North America, Inc., as vice president of marketing where he had served since May of 1999. Among his many accomplishments, he led the successful launch of the brand’s first SUV, the Porsche Cayenne.

Mahoney received a bachelor’s degree in international studies and foreign languages from Newberry College and University of Vienna in Austria and went on to earn a master’s of business administration in marketing management from Drexel University. He is a member of the CMO Council and CMO Marketing Roundtable.
 

TIM COLBECK - Senior Vice President, Sales

As Senior Vice President of Sales for Subaru of America, Inc., Tim Colbeck is responsible for the company’s regional sales offices, field operations, vehicle planning and logistics, and sales operations. Prior to this position, Colbeck served as the Vice President of Sales for SOA. Before holding that position, he was the Regional Vice President of the Subaru Mid-Atlantic Region, where he was responsible for vehicle and parts sales, fixed operations, market development and administrative activities of the region.

Colbeck was the Director of e-business from 1999 though 2002, prior to his promotion to Regional Vice President. He also served as National Sales Operations Manager from 1997, and prior to that held a variety of management roles at the Mid-Atlantic regional office. From 1987 through 1994, he held several positions at Subaru corporate headquarters in accounting, parts and business planning. Colbeck began his career at Subaru in 1986 as a financial analyst. Prior to joining Subaru, he worked as an internal auditor for Philadelphia Life Insurance Co.

Colbeck holds a bachelor of science degree from St. Joseph’s University and a master’s in business administration from Drexel University.
