Subaru of America, Inc., in partnership with Subaru retailers and local shelters across the country, helped more than 47,000 shelter pets find loving homes during the Subaru Loves Pets campaign in October 2022. In addition, Subaru retailers donated more than $1.6 million to local shelter partners, helping to support their care for animals throughout the country.
During the October 2022 Subaru Loves Pets campaign, more than 600 retailers throughout the country hosted adoption events at their retail locations in partnership with local animal shelters. Since the inception of the adoption campaign in 2019, Subaru has supported the adoption of 106,000 shelter pets.
In partnership with Animal Welfare Association (AWA) Subaru will host a local Camden “Make A Dog’s Day” event on October 19, 2022, at Von Neida Park in Camden, New Jersey. AWA’s Vets on Wheels program, sponsored by Subaru, brings affordable and accessible pet care to Camden City residents.

Throughout October and on #MakeADogsDay (October 22), Subaru is doubling down on efforts to unite animals with loving homes, with a special focus on the older, physically challenged and “different” dogs Subaru lovingly calls “Underdogs,” often the last to be adopted.
Through a series of advertising spots, Subaru is shining a spotlight on shelter pets in need of loving homes, including dogs with special needs, affectionately called “Underdogs.”

On October 22, the fourth annual National Make A Dog’s Day, Subaru invites dog owners to do something special for the canines in their lives and share on social media using #MakeADogsDay. Throughout October, Subaru and more than 600 Subaru retailers nationwide will partner with local pet organizations to host in-person and virtual adoption events.
