Laura Matey is Vice President, Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA). In this role, she oversees the formulation and execution of the automaker’s information technology strategy and leads the cross-functional delivery of its broad technology portfolio. As CIO, Matey focuses on driving innovation and leading Subaru through ongoing and future digital transformations.

Prior to her current role, Matey served as Vice President of Service and Quality. Since joining Subaru of America in 2000 as a Systems Analyst in the E-Business department, where she helped develop the automaker’s online presence, she has held a variety of management roles across the Information Technology, Retailer Claims, Service and Quality, and Sales departments, including serving as the Director of Retail Operations Training.

Matey holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and daughter, and in her spare time she enjoys puzzles, cooking, gardening, and swing dancing.
