Laura Matey is Vice President, Service and Quality for Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA). In her role, Matey is responsible for technical training, warranty, quality teams (Field Quality and Advance Quality), and service technical operations, including overseeing Subaru District Service Quality Managers.
Prior to this role, Matey was the Director of Service and Quality. She has held several roles since joining Subaru of America in 2000 as a Systems Analyst in the E-Business department, working to develop Subaru’s online presence. Previously, Matey held several other management roles within the Information Technology Department, Retailer Claims, Service and Quality, and Sales Department, including time as the Director of Retail Operations Training.
Matey holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia. She lives in Westmont, NJ, with her husband and daughter, and in her spare time enjoys puzzles, cooking, gardening, and swing dancing. While she’s driven many different Subaru vehicles over her tenure, her favorite is the Crosstrek. Matey enjoys being a part of the internal Subaru team that organizes the annual pet toy project at SOA locations nationwide, supporting Subaru Loves Pets® by recycling old t-shirts into toys for shelter dogs and cats.
