SUBARU EARNS 2024 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK AWARDS FOR SOLTERRA AND WRX
- For 2024, IIHS instituted new requirements in side impact protection, pedestrian crash prevention, and moderate front overlap tests

Subaru of America, Inc. today announced the 2024 Solterra all-electric SUV was named a 2024 TOP SAFETY PICK+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Also, the WRX performance car earned a 2024 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK award.

For 2024, the IIHS modified the requirements for its TOP SAFETY PICK and TOP SAFETY PICK+ awards. The new criteria were established for side impact protection, pedestrian front crash prevention systems, and moderate front overlap crash safety.
The 2024 Subaru Solterra is available in Premium, Limited, and Touring trim levels and has a starting price of $44,995 MSRP (before applicable federal, state, or local tax credits) and is available now at Subaru retailers nationwide. The enhanced 2024 Subaru Solterra all-electric SUV offers several new features to improve comfort, driver safety, and versatility – all without increasing the price from the previous year.
The 2024 Subaru WRX, including the new WRX TR with performance-focused upgrades, is available at Subaru retailers now. The fifth-generation WRX is enhanced with standard EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology on all models, including those equipped with manual transmission. All WRX models have a 271-horsepower, 2.4-liter turbocharged Subaru BOXER engine, and Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. A tablet-style 11.6-inch SUBARU STARLINK® Multimedia Plus system with wireless Android™ Auto and Apple CarPlay® compatibility is standard on all models for 2024.
The 2024 WRX is offered in five trim levels: Base, Premium, Limited, TR, and GT with a starting price of $32,735 MSRP.
